… and perhaps we can get rid of these ableist idiots like Kym Lindner, and while you’re at it Cairns Post, get rid of your editor who allowed Mr Lindner’s discriminatory comment to make it through edit cuts to publication. Discrimination is against the law in Australia. Mr Lindner, this means we aren’t going to get rid of the sign language interpreters on TV during state emergencies because you think they look like idiots. Also, in case ableism is beyond your understanding Mr Lindner, let me propose some reverse ableism just for you. I propose we get rid of all the audio on TV broadcasts in state emergencies and just make do with the subtitles.
